"This is undoubtedly the most exciting competition I’ve been to. I was the youngest among all competitors, which makes me extra nervous. However, I got to learn from singers that are much older than I am. I also got a lot of valuable feedback from adjudicators and make connections with singers from different cities."
Participant Eligibility
We’re welcoming performing artists from across Alberta in the following age brackets:
Under 9 $75 per class incl. fees unless specified
Under 13 $100 per class incl. fees unless specified
Under 17 $125 per class incl. fees unless specified
Under 22 $150 per class incl. fees unless specified
Over 22. $150 per class incl. fees unless specified

How To Register In 2023 and Key Information
We are so excited to share our new registration system with you. The new platform is supported by local IT professionals and aims to support our participants through the festival process.
NEW in the registration process this year you will find:

All performers must purchase a $10 CPAF Membership in order to register for their desired class.

Class Fees are based on Age Brackets when possible.

All classes are subject to a $15 registration fee.

Festival Events (Programs) dates are accurate. Finalized performance times will be distributed to all performers by February 17, 2023.

No changes may be made after Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023. A $25 administration fee will be applied to all cancellations. Please check your schedule carefully before you enter the Calgary Performing Arts Festival.

Between Feb. 1 and April 1, 2023, CPAF will provide refunds for half your class fee, minus a $25 administration fee.

After the Saturday, Apr. 1 deadline, no refunds will be given.

Scholarship Prizes for class categories will be announced in December 2022.
