"We consistently hear stories about young people whose lives have been enriched through exposure to the arts. We believe that music and speech arts performed by peers who excel in this area, has a positive impact on the students observing, the performers themselves and the community at large."

CALGARY PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL IS extremely proud to be involved for the 3rd year with the Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink (BFK). BFK is a non-profit program run under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation.
The Foundation was formed in conjunction with the Shaw Charity Classic golf tournament as the philanthropic arm.
How Does This Work?
BFK is a program designed to help raise funds for local charities, and provide matching funds for each charity involved. This means 100% of all donated funds through the Foundation will come directly to the Festival. On top of this, the most exciting part of BFK is the matching pool. For your generous donation, up to 50% will be matched.
How to Donate
From now until September 2, 2019, when you

Thank You For Your Support
We are grateful to you for your support of the Calgary Performing Arts Festival.
The dollars help to inspire young people in our community who have the passion to perform in the arts. A strong culture of arts makes a city more vibrant, helps with an exceptional quality of life and shared prosperity for all. The money that we raise during the year will allow us to bring in exemplary adjudicators, provide quality programs, cover venue costs and give talented artists the opportunity to perform at a world-class venue during the final concert.
