NEW CPAF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors for the Calgary Performing Arts Festival is pleased to welcome Mike Jewitt as the new Executive Director of the Calgary Performing Arts Festival.   
 
Mike comes to the Festival with a strong background, organizational experiences and exceptional results in music and leadership in profit and non-profit organizations. He has served as the Executive Director for Calgary Round-Up Band, Calgary Stetson Show Band, multiple roles at Calgary Stampede and most recently comes to us after time with Three Hills School Division as a music educator. He has volunteered with World Association of Marching Show Bands, Alberta International Band Festivals, and is a member of Phi Beta Mu. 

Mike holds degrees in music from the University of Calgary and education from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane Australia. Mike has a strong commitment to music, a true appreciation for the Arts, and was a participant in music festivals as a child in choral, band, and Saxophone.

CPAF 2022 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

ARE YOU READY!!? CPA Festival is coming in 2022 April - May!!

Registration opens on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at noon (MST) for Strings and Piano.  Vocals will open by February 2, 2022. Please note that there will be a limited number of registrations available and it is first registered and paid, first admitted. The deadline is March 1, 2022, OR the maximum number of registrants reached, whichever comes first.

NUMBER OF REGISTRANTS:  

100 Strings (scheduled for April 25-30, 2022)
75 Piano Plan I, 75 Piano Plan II (scheduled for May 9-14, 2022)
65 Vocal – Age 14 and up (scheduled for April 20-23, 2022)
Every registrant is allowed to enter only 2 classes.  If you enter more than 2, you will be contacted to see which 2 you wish to stay in and the balance will be refunded to you. 
All classes will be IN-PERSON and held at the Polaris Centre for the Performing Arts.  

 

Adjudicators, at this point, are planning to attend via Zoom.  
All classes will be scheduled throughout the day and evening as required.

We captured our performers with top-notch, multi-camera live stream technology to make sure we get the best angles of the performances.
